Responsibilities

Review, interpret and implement Corteva and regulatory safety, occupational health, and hazardous waste management programs. Ensure that the safety culture is effective, and compliant with all local, regional and federal regulations. Develop, support, implement, and perform auditing and record keeping strategies for the location with corporate direction. Determine safety training needs and requirements for the location. Build relationships and rapport with team members. Review facility operations and consult with internal parties to identify unsafe working conditions and develop appropriate controls or alternatives. Support Incident Management at the location through a coordinated effort with leadership team and site manager to ensure proper reporting, incident investigation and follow-up. Communicate and transfer knowledge to the location and /or business on a frequent basis in a relatable and effective manner. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: You have your High School diploma/GED. What Skills You Need: You have two years of manufacturing, ag, training, or safety related experience and/or education. You have a valid US drivers license so you are able to drive a company vehicle when needed. You have excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal). You have solid coaching, leadership, problem solving, & decision-making skills. You are willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions. You have strong experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). You have high attention to detail to maintain awareness of existing and proposed safety codes/regulations and company guidelines. You are willing and able to work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays as required (usually only during seasonal peaks). What Makes You Stand Out: Bachelor’s degree. OSHA 10-hr or 30-hr training certification. Injury Management Investigation experience.
