Her journey to our organization is a testamentto her dedication and love for this community.

Why YCDC?

Janeen is excited to embark on a new career phase at YCDC. With her family entering a new chapter, she sees this as the perfecttime to pursue her true passion—bookkeeping and contributing to the growth of York County. After approximately 10 years of experience in bookkeeping, Janeen decided to refresh her skills, earning her Associate Digital Bookkeeper designation in January 2024. Her training included intensive work with QuickBooks Online, where she also holds a QB ProAdvisor account.

Commitmentto York County:

Originally from Polk County, Janeen moved to York in 1998 after falling in love with its storybook-like charm and community spirit. She has been an active and enthusiastic resident ever since, drawn by the welcoming atmosphere and the many amenities that make York an ideal place to raise a family. Her deep connection to the community was further solidified after attending a YCDC meeting, where she was inspired by the collective passion for the county's growth and development.

Janeen discovered this opportunity through an inspiring interview with Steph Howe on the 17-County Podcast, which led her to apply for the Financial Specialist & Office Coordinator position. Her enthusiasm and commitment are evident, and she is eager to bring her skills and passion to YCDC.

Professional Experience:

Janeen’s extensive professional background includes roles at York General Hospital, where she excelled in patient accounts collections, materials management, and insurance billing. She has also gained valuable experience in customer service and bookkeeping through positions at Autocraft Collision & Graphics, Century House Chiropractic, Dibbern Machine, Fastenal Company, Rasmussen Auto Supply, State Farm Insurance, and Tabitha Healthcare Services. Additionally, she successfully ran a part-time cleaning and painting business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and versatility.

Janeen is a vibrant addition to our team, bringing her professional expertise and a genuine love for York County. We are confidentthat her positive energy and dedication will greatly contribute to our mission.
